What is a bustle?

Most wedding gowns you will see in a bridal boutique are designed with a train. While trains are stunning in pictures and while walking down the aisle, they are not very practical for a party! A bustle is a technique of draping the train on the back of your dress, so you are free to walk around, dance, and not have guests inadvertently step on your dress. Your dress will be bustled for your entire reception, so it is an essential part of the alteration process to make your dress look just right. There are many different ways to drape a bustle; your selection will depend on the type of dress and your personal taste. During your first fitting we will try a number of different bustle styles to decide which option suits you and your gown the best.
